Summary

MarketPay.A collects the device's associated phone number and IMEI number, and forwards the information to a remote server.

Removal

Once the scan is complete, the F-Secure security product will ask if you want to uninstall the file, move it to the quarantine or keep it installed on your device.

Technical Details

MarketPay.A is distributed via a trojanized application, using a package named com.mediawoz.gotq.apk. When installed on a device, it automatically places orders to purchase applications from the Chinese mobile market (10086.cn) without the user's consent.

This malware also collects the device's associated phone number and IMEI number, and forwards this information to a remote server.
